Remembering Milo: A Tribute to My Meow Face the Ginger Cat

Writer's picture: Tanya OwensTanya Owens

Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my beloved cat, Milo Owens, lovingly known as Mr. Milo, Meow Face, or Honey Bunny. Milo passed away on December 23, 2024. Milo was more than a pet; he was my companion, my lifeboat, and a constant source of love and joy. Milo was my family.

Adopting My Meow Face - Ginger Cat

Milo’s journey with me began on September 14, 2014, when I adopted him from the Citizens for Animal Protection aka CAP shelter. I was looking for a male ginger cat and found this beautiful eight month old kitty. He was originally named Neko, but I chose the name Milo because it reflected his gentle and kind nature perfectly. Over the years, he filled my life with countless precious memories, teaching me the true meaning of unconditional love.

Tribute to Milo

To honor his memory, I’ve created a special page on my website: www.tanyaowens.com/milo. On this page, I’ve shared the story of Milo’s life, the joy he brought to those around him, and the indelible mark he left on my heart. I’ve included stories of his playful moments, his sweet gestures of affection, and his role as my protector and confidant.

In the coming days, I plan to add more videos and images to the page to celebrate the beautiful life Milo lived. Although the page is hidden from my main site menu, I wanted to ensure his memory was shared with those who knew and loved him or who might draw comfort from his story.

Missing my Meow Face - Milo the Ginger Cat

Milo’s passing has left a profound void in my life, but I find solace in knowing he is at peace and cherished by the God who created him. Writing his tribute and sharing it with you has been a deeply healing process, and I hope it serves as a reminder of the special bond we share with our furry family members.

Thank you for taking a moment to remember Milo with me. Your love and support mean the world.
