About the Artist

Tanya Owens' journey in photography started as a child. She developed her first roll of black and white film in the 5th grade at PS 165 in Brooklyn, NY. While in High School she continued her studies in photography and went on to study Radio & Television Production in college, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Communications from SUNY New Paltz College. During those early days Tanya focused primarily on portrait and editorial photography. She switched to nature and travel fine art photography later in life when she began to travel across the United States and then around the world.
