The Mother Land. Although I do not know which African nation my ancestors are from, I thought it fitting that for my first trip to the Mother Land, that I would visit Ghana during her 50 year jubilee. And the Ghanaians welcomed us all with open arms, claiming us all as her children in the diaspora. It was a gut wrenching, thought provoking, culinary delight of an experience. The most impressive part of Ghana? Seeing the baobab trees as we traveled from the south to the north of the country.
